Autopsy

Medical autopsies are performed for patients who were treated within the ORHS system. Resident physicians act as prosectors for all autopsy cases under the guidance of an attending physician. Dr. Thomas Hegert currently oversees Autopsy Pathology training for the Pathology Residency Program. He brings extensive experience in Forensic Pathology to the Department, having served as a Medical Examiner in Florida for over 40 years.
